2020 LGBTQ-friendly “Premier Campus” hosts Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Career Summit

Today, Tuesday, November 2, and Wednesday, November 3, Campus Pride is sponsoring the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Career Summit at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. Hosted at the Adam W. Herbert University Center, the LGBTQ Center and Office of Diversity and Inclusion at UNF and Campus Pride have developed a unique career development event for students and professionals. UNF’s DEI Career Summit will bring together students, alumni, professionals and organizations for networking and career-building events. On November 2, UNF is hosting a series of professional development seminars for entry-level, intermediate and professional participants. The summit also features a networking lunch and diversity mixer for participants, employers and organizations. UNF will also have a career fair tomorrow, November 3.

 Campus Pride Index of LGBTQ-friendly colleges and universities

In 2020, Campus Pride recognized UNF as an LGBTQ-friendly “Premier Campus.” UNF currently has a 4.5 out of five stars on the Campus Pride Index, an “overall indicator of institutional commitment to LGBTQ-inclusive policy, program and practice” for college campuses across the country. Campus Pride Career Connect platform for LGBTQ students and young professionals

At the UNF DEI Career Summit, Campus Pride will present its new platform called the Career Connect. Launched for Campus Pride’s 20-year anniversary, Career Connect is a professional platform that connects college students to mentorship and career opportunities.
