Campus Pride issues response to Yeshiva University’s decision to halt all student clubs and organizations in order to continue discriminating against LGBTQ+ students

Charlotte, NC: Saturday, September 17, 2022 – Campus Pride, the leading national organization for LGBTQ+ students and campus groups, issued this response today to Yeshiva University’s decision to halt all student clubs and organizations in order to continue discriminating against LGBTQ+ students, as follows:

Campus Pride named Yeshiva University, one of 193 campuses, on the Worst List, the most unsafe, dangerous campuses for LGBTQ+ youth.  There is no doubt Yeshiva University deserves this dishonorable distinction. Their actions to deny recognition to the Y.U. Pride Alliance, the LGBTQ+ student club, by halting all student organizations is further proof how extreme and harmful the campus truly is – and how far they will go to keep their discrimination alive targeting LGBTQ+ youth.

Campus Pride supports the Y.U. Pride Alliance and its students in their continued efforts to seek full recognition of the student club and equal access to campus services.
