Campus Pride calls Charlotte, NC it’s home.

The organization is seeking to fill the role of Campus Pride Media, Communications & Program Manager.   The position is vital to the organization and its staffing plan over the next three years.

JOB TITLE: Campus Pride Media, Communications & Programs Manager
Job Responsibilities & Duties
Office Management & Operations
  • Performs administrative duties for executive management including managing calendars; making travel, meeting and event arrangements; preparing reports and financial data; training and supervising other support staff; and customer relations.
  • Maintain and run an efficient, productive and professional office space (Office Hours: Open Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
  • Supervise staff/fellows/interns and volunteers in office; ensure compliance with equipment use policy, office rules, performance evaluations, etc.
  • Purchase office supplies monthly,  keep an inventory of all office equipment, fix/repair office equipment in timely manner and track expenditures
  • Manage organization calendar of events, programs and activities (external and internal)
  • Ensure that office operates within the approved budget, approve expenditures over $150.
  • Write invoices and record payments for office  as assigned.
  • Support and assist the Executive Director in daily operations.
Media, Communications & Technology
  • Manages media and communications efforts to include but not limited to the blog, direct mail, electronic mail and social media applications. 70% of these efforts should be about increasing revenue by highlighting direct revenue generating programs and services, the remaining may be any communications designed to heighten the organization brand.
  • Responsible for updating web properties as well as technology, consolidating and improving web presence of web properties in an effort to be more efficient of organization resources, including the management of Google Adwords, SEO, Google Apps, etc.
  • Conducts active media advocacy and public relations work to include writing press releases, working with students to create messaging, blogging, social media campaigns/videos/photos and other media items that build national awareness of Campus Pride events, programs, activities as well as campus issues related to Campus Pride’s mission and purpose.
  • Produce and oversee annual report as well as up to date quarterly reports to be completed the month following each quarter.
  • Oversee the production of a high quality online e-newsletter (10 x/year) of the organization activities and accomplishments for the public (donors, grantmakers).
Program Management
  • Build successful program and manage and meet monthly revenue benchmarks for College Fair, Camp Pride, webinars, etc. This includes: field new inquiries, write contracts, negotiate between school and artist, financial details, travel details, av needs, positive relations and communication, etc
  • Oversee and be responsible for the development and implementation of  highlighted Fall and Spring Google Hangouts, webinars, twitter chats, etc, which support the mission of Campus Pride and its programs.
  • Train volunteers to successfully support programs, events and operations of organization (conference tabling, blog/content writing, etc)
  • Oversee and be responsible for implementing and, or supporting assigned programs, fundraising events (such as GiveOUT Day/Giving Tuesday) and, or other projects in coordination with Executive Director.
  • Develop ongoing relationships with partners, media, funders, volunteers, etc to further organization mission and fulfillment of job responsibilities.
  • Staying relevant with current news, topics, social media and technology to further organization mission and fulfillment of job responsibilities.
  • Meeting fundraising and revenue goals monthly.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by Executive Director.
