| I
really appreciated the value Shane placed on learning
about the audience prior to stepping foot on campus. It
was a true demonstration of his commitment to meet the
audience at their own comfort level... Looking at and
listening to the audience one could tell how nervous they
were with this topic, unsure if Shane was going to try
to convert them or why the even needed to listen... Shane
has a way of easing the students into a comfort level
with gay issues through humor... The students laughed,
listened, learned and gave positive reviews... We have
a long way to go in educating our students on this issue,
but Shane has now helped to open that door. I look forward
to bringing Shane again. |

| Your
sense of humor, engaging style, and participation format
captivated the audience... This year is the first year
we have attempted to address issues surrounding sexual
orientation and homophobia on campus. ...we began the
Ally program this fall and it has been met with mixed
support from faculty, staff and students. Your presentation
was another opportunity for us to begin the dialogue,
challenge stereotypes and openly discuss an often-silenced
topic on conservative college campuses. Many in the audience
were students that were thrilled that finally their voice
was being heard. The positive responses speak volumes
and reinforce the importance of having you present your
program on college campuses. |

| I
offer my highest recommendation for Shane Windmeyer...
Shane delivered an enlightening, humorous, and poignant
presentation to a diverse audience... Shane's engaging
interpersonal style combined with his delightful sense
of humor quickly created a safe environment in which sensitive
topics could be discussed with ease. Shane offered valuable
insights... His own story of coming out... demonstrated
a level of openness, strength, and maturity to which SMU
students will hopefully aspire... I found Shane to be
excellent and recommend him without reservation... |

| An
informative, energetic and heartfelt program... your program
attracted members of the Macomb community, the athletic
department and students from sociology and psychology
classes. The coverage in the student newspaper, The Western
Courier, clearly highlighted the heart and soul of your
program: there is a place for everyone at the table. |

| The
program was without a doubt one of the best programs this
year. Your presentation left an indelible mark on the
campus of Virginia Tech. You challenged and motivated
the students to think beyond themselves... I was truly
impressed with your ability to capture their attention
and to sedulously guide them through the various facets
of coming out. The LGBTA organization constantly seeks
to sponsor programs that educate and enlighten straight
students about the gay/lesbian culture. Your program was
extremely successful in accomplishing that goal. |

| Shane
Windmeyer's program was chosen by our students to help
us begin a dialogue about sexual orientation on our campus...
Shane's program was a huge success on our campus... Shane
blended humor, fact, and personal experiences together
to approach the topic of sexual orientation in a very
non-intimidating and easy to relate to fashion for our
student population. Above all, Shane's program allowed
our students to begin a dialogue concerning advocacy for
our GLBT students... I would highly recommend Shane Windmeyer's
program to all campuses wanting to begin or continue dialogue
about sexual orientation.. |
