Campus Pride hosts Google+ Hangout to share how to find an LGBT-friendly college as well as other resources helpful for college preparation
Next Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 6pm EST Campus Pride will be hosting a Google+ Hangout: “Finding a LGBT-Friendly Campus & Scholarships.” Student leaders around the country, Campus Pride Executive Director Shane Windmeyer and a Point Foundation scholar will be joining us to share about their experience finding LGBT-friendly campuses, scholarships and how they prepared for college as an out LGBT student.
Campus Pride supports students in finding the right LGBT-friendly college and providing the resources to be successful in college preparation. The Google+ Hangout will review what is available to LGBT youth today as well as highlight the new Campus Pride LGBT-friendly Scholarship Database, launched in partnership with The Point Foundation, as well the Campus Pride Index and Campus Pride Map, tools to discover resources and LGBT presence on college campuses. Additionally, there will be information shared about the Campus Pride National LGBT-Friendly College Fair Program hosted in eight cities.
