Campus Pride and AFLV Announce Conference Partnership
Out & Greek Conference to take place April 11-14, 2013
Campus Pride is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with the Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values to create an affiliation between the Out & Greek LGBT & Ally Conference and the AFLV West Fraternal Leadership/National Cultural Greek Leadership Conference (WFL/NCGLC). This joint event occurs April 11-14, 2013, and registration is now open. Early bird registration rates end March 22, 2013.
The Out and Greek LGBT & Ally Conference is the only conference of its kind for LGBT and ally fraternity and sorority leaders to share, network and learn strategies to create safer, more LGBT inclusive fraternity and sorority communities. Never has there been a leadership conference to share, network and learn strategies to create safer, more LGBT inclusive fraternity and sorority communities.
AFLV Executive Director Mark Koepsell said, “We’re very excited about this partnership; we know it will offer education as well as community for very important members of our fraternal community.” Campus Pride Executive Director Shane Windmeyer said, “We are thrilled to partner with AFLV through our OUT & Greek Conference. Straight ally fraternity and sorority members attending WFL/NCGLC will have access to resources, education, and awareness to create safer, more welcoming fraternal communities. Plus, LGBT fraternity and sorority members will have the visibility and support to be out and celebrate who they are.”
Campus Pride represents the leading national nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization for student leaders and campus groups working to create a safer college environment for LGBT students. The organization is a volunteer-driven network “for” and “by” student leaders. The primary objective of Campus Pride is to develop necessary resources, programs and services to support LGBT and ally students on college campuses across the United States.
The Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values exists to stimulate the growth and development of fraternity/sorority council and chapter leaders by promoting leadership, educational, and values based experiences and resources for student leaders, their advisors, and the larger fraternal market.
